FAQs
What is 3D printing?
3D printing builds parts by laying down molten plastic in precise
layers, which lets us create shapes that traditional manufacturing
can't, at prices that make sense for small parts. Modern materials and
machines produce parts that are strong and light, and we test everything
on real kit before it goes on sale. We use professional machines and
materials chosen for the job, so the parts hold up to life in a kit bag.
I want something that you don't sell, will you make it for me?
Very possibly. Custom design is how many of our standard products
started, someone on set needed a thing that didn't exist. Fill out our
contact form with as much detail as you can (i.e. the fixture it's for,
what it needs to do, photos or sketches help), and we'll let you know if
it's possible and what it would cost.
Can you customise my order with my company logo?
Yes, and it's one of our favourite things to do! We can emboss or deboss
your logo into the part, or print in two colours to make it stand out.
It's a popular option for rental houses and others who want their kit
identifiable at a glance (and harder to walk off with). Fill out our
contact form with the products you'd like customised and we'll come back
with options and pricing.
What are LX3D accessories made from?
Our parts are 3D-printed from durable engineering plastics chosen to
handle the heat and knocks of a working set. The specific material is
listed on each product page.
Which fixtures are they compatible with?
We make accessories specifically for Aputure MC and MC Pros, Astera
Titan/Helios tubes and Rosco DMG Dash fixtures. The exact model and
fitting is listed in every product title; please check there before
ordering.
How quickly do you ship?
Orders are made and dispatched from our UK workshop, usually within a
few working days. UK shipping is free on orders over £60, and we ship
worldwide. If you need something quicker please let us know.
Can you make custom or bulk parts?
Yes - we regularly produce custom adapters and larger runs for rental
houses and productions. Head to our Contact page and send us a message
telling us what you need.
